about evergreenour ECO credentials
Just as you would expect to see references before engaging the services of a new supplier we want you to know about our environmental policies.

Helping our local and global environments by recycling and reusing resources isn’t enough at Evergreen, we want to minimise the environmental impact in the way we do this.

We aim to:

  1. Be a responsible member of the business community, meeting all our environmental commitments not only on site but also when at our client’s premises and when in transit.
  2. Update staff on all environmental issues, whether they directly affect Evergreen or not.
  3. Minimise the use of scarce resources such as water, oil, electricity.
  4. Keep our clients updated on environmental issues affecting our working partnership.
  5. Continually reappraise, develop and improve our processing in order to improve our ecological performance.

One of the ways we do this is by vigilantly rerouting our vehicles to avoid roadworks and peak-time travel. By turning off idle engines and operating maximum load capacity we ensure that each and every journey is as ecological as possible.

Evergreen is qualified to ISO 1400 standard and complies with Schedule 4 of the Waste Management Regulation 1994. This means that we work to ensure that waste is not recovered or disposed of by any method that could harm or endanger human health. Neither should it harm the environment through risk to water, air, soil, plants or animals; cause a nuisance through noise or odours or adversely affect the countryside or places of special interest.
